Coronavirus Update
These are uncertain times but we just want to reassure customers that here at Westgate Labs we’re currently open for business as usual.
Recent guidance from Royal Mail/Public Health England is that people receiving parcels are not at risk of contracting the coronavirus so as a postal business the show goes on! In the meantime we’re keeping up to date with advice and implementing procedure to protect our small team as much as possible to try and keep everyone healthy.
Please continue to send samples in as normal and order kits online through our website shop. We test and report all samples on the day they arrive at the lab so there should never be a backlog and we’ll update as soon as possible if this situation changes. At least with our prepaid return envelopes there’s no need to visit the post office to send your samples, simply pop them in the nearest post –box.
In these circumstances we’re feeling very lucky to live and work in such a rural area. For some of us this is already home-working as we live on site and the work area in our purpose built lab provides the recommended metre space between colleagues. We’re also getting plenty of fresh air by dog walking at lunchtimes and looking after the horses.
With schools closing some of our team will need to be home working more often, which may reduce our capacity to answer queries by phone at certain times. So just a little request from us to you lovely people please..... Where possible we'd be grateful if you could use email or messenger for non-urgent contact. We'll happily call you back when we're able if you'd prefer to speak to someone directly.
